Spring is Here !!!!!!

It seemed it would never happen!  But, just when it seems there is no end to the winter, Spring arrives!  The flowers and the trees tell us it has arrived.   Once again Nature will refresh and we will try to forget the ice, the snow, and the cold.

It is time for all of the wonderful events of Spring and Summer.   As these events unfold, remember the children will be out in force.

As always, stay alert and buckle up!  It is the best way to protect yourself, your family, and those around you.   NEVER Text and drive.

Also, the Sheriff and our staff desire to serve you in all ways possible.   If you see something that should be reported, please take the time to let us know.   With your help we can continue to make Jefferson County the wonderful place that it is to raise a family, work, and enjoy the fruits of our labors.

I would like to thank the residents of Jefferson County for contributing to the safety and security of our community.   Daily, our officers and staff meet people who are in trouble.  Those who have been the victim of a crime and those who are charged with criminal acts.  While we expect these types of encounters in law enforcement, daily we also witness many acts from people who care about their neighbors and our community.

The dedication of the men and women who serve in this office is unwavering as is our appreciation to the law-abiding and caring citizens we serve.

Be safe!   Be Happy!   And remember to aid us in making our collective dream come true.
