The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a full-time Records Clerk. This is a professional level of clerical work, of moderate difficulty. Excellent communication skills are required to obtain, clarify, give or screen factual information. Advanced skills in the operation of standard and electronic office equipment are necessary. Required education and experience is; graduation from high school or GED equivalent, supplemented by at least one course in office or business practices; and three (3) years experience in clerical or secretarial work, experience working with National Crime Information Center (NCIC). The selected candidate must undergo and pass a physical capacity test, a drug screen, and a vision and hearing test. The selected candidate must be free of felony convictions.
