Phone Call Scam

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office has been made aware of another scam that involves phone calls to citizens telling them they have a warrant for their arrest. The caller is identifying as Sheriff Bacon, and is telling them that they can pay money to get out of trouble. Sheriff Bacon and any employee of the Sheriff's Office will not contact you via a phone call about a warrant. More importantly, they will not ask for money to resolve any issue. If you receive a phone call like this just hang up, do not give out any money or information.
