SCAM ALERT

 

On June 9th, 2025, Kansas, Jefferson County Sheriff's Office received a report advising they had received a telephone call from "Lt. Robert Morrison" with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.  This caller posing as a Jefferson County Sheriff's Officer provided a false narrative / information, while attempting to solicit personal information from the caller.

 

If you receive a telephone call from "Lt. Robert Morrison" identifying themselves with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office wants to inform the public that this is a false person and it should be known there is not an individual employed at the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Kansas with that name.

 

If you ever question if you are really speaking with a Sheriff's Deputy, you can always hang-up and contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at (785) 863-2765 and request to speak with the Deputy.
