The Jefferson  County Sheriff's Office is cancelling the Silver Alert for Kenneth Klenklen issued on Friday September 17th, 2021. The remains of Mr. Klenklen were recovered at approximately 3:00 p.m. today, Tuesday  September 21st, 2021 in a remote area of western Jefferson County.  

The Jefferson  County Sheriff's Office wishes to extend our sincere condolences  to the  Klenklen Family for the loss of their loved one.

The  Sheriff's Office  also wants to send out our appreciation to the public, the Kansas Highway  Patrol,  the Jackson  County Sheriff's Office,  and the Valley Falls Fire Department all who provided invaluable  assistance  in the recovery  of  Mr. Klenklen.
